Classic carpets cleaning tips that are often forgotten
- Vacuum regularly and place doormats at entrances.
- Protect carpets from direct sunlight by installing drapes and blinds in windows.
- Place felt pads under furniture legs and shift them around the room from time to time so that carpet fibres are not permanently compacted.
- Install carpet protectors under furniture with wheels.
- Quickly sponge up all liquid spills.
- Regular professional cleaning will prolong the life and the freshness of your carpet. A cleaning professional can also repair burns and other damage.
- In order to prolong stain protection, do not use disinfectant products (ex.: Lysol), insecticides or fungicides (ex.: Sylguard).
- The pH level of the cleaning product should not be more than 10. A high-alkaline product will provide deep cleaning, but decreases stain protection.
- Do not use foaming products or rotating brushes.
- Quickly clean stains and spills: this will prolong the life of your carpet and maintain its beautiful appearance.
- FlorDeco advises you to use Saniten's PT-850 for cleaning and removing stains from your carpet.
- Important: Carpet fibres react differently to specific cleaning agents. You should always follow the manufacturer's cleaning instructions. The warranty is void if cleaning and maintenance guidelines are not followed correctly. For more information, please contact your FlorDeco retailer.
